Completed the gear channel doublers. This was the last part before we could call the main gear mounts complete. We feared this job because we had already riveted in the one of the seat channels which greatly reduced the access to the gear channel.
Turns out the job was much easier than anticipated. We didn’t do it exactly like the picture manual, in that we simply match drilled into the gear channel instead of match drilling into the gear channel doublers.
We then had to get a bit creative on how to get the nuts on in a few locations, but in the end all worked out great and we were glad this job was done.
With this job complete, we now feel confident to join the cabin area with the aft fuselage with rivets!
